Biography
Estah (born Esther Adeyemi) is a Gospel Singer, Songwriter and Worship Leader as well
as a bible teacher and speaker. She also leads and coordinates activates for Singles and
Young Adults alongside the lead Pastor at her local church in South East London, UK.
Once described as one of London’s best kept secrets Estah has been leading worship for
some 18 years now and has been lending her vocals to an array of UK Gospel Minister’s
recording projects over the years. Everyone from Sonnie Badu, to Muyiwa & Riversongz,
Roger Samuels and the likes and most recently Sinach’s 2018 live recording iat West-
minster Central Hall, London, UK.
Though Estah has been singing in church since she was 10 years old, her late teens and
early adult years saw her singing commercially, lending her vocals to the Garage music
scene that took the UK by storm in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Her TV credits include
shows like X Factor and Alan Titchmarsh with Global artists such as, Blur, One Direction
and Kylie Minogue, JLS. She sang for with (LCGC) London Community Gospel Choir, for
some 2 years and having sang in places like Wembley, London Arena, The Brit Awards,
The Experience (Nigeria) with Muyiwa and Riversongz Celebration of Gospel (also With
Muyiwa & Riversongz) it’s difficult to refer to Estah as a new comer when she has been in
her own corner in this industry for a while.
Walking away from commercial and secular music altogether Estah recalls hearing God
tell her to leave the secular music industry and consecrate herself to Him. It has been a
long time coming.
Over the years she has dropped a few songs, with her first release in 2007 (I’ll lift Your
Name) followed by the Estah & Echo album and her last EP project ‘To Worship Our King
in 2016( all available online). 2018 however, brings a fresh sound and new direction for
Estah.
‘I’ve spent a lot of time in Nigeria and Africa in recent years so it was only a matter of
time before I was influenced musically, my heart is in Nigeria at the moment”
The Lagos born, London based songstress left Nigeria when she was just 3 years old, not
returning until she was 18 and ever since then she has continued to stay connected to
her roots.
